Shipwrecked

The storm had started suddenly and raged for hours. The wind blew so hard it ripped the sails of the boat. Although sturdy, and despite the efforts of the captain and his crew to keep the ship afloat and the passengers safe, the elements were against them. Soon, there was not much left of the vessel. A few broken wooden boards and bits of cargo were floating, and few ponies had survived.
Globe Trotter had tried flying above the wreckage to find his little friend, but was unable to lift off. The only thing he could do was let himself get carried by the sea on the barrel he had found and pray that Melody would end up safe and sound. And that they'd see each other again, someday...
They didn't have the time to say anything to each other. Not even goodbye. They got separated when lightning burst on the deck and broke the whole ship in pieces. Trotter managed to get on top of an empty barrel, while Melody got hit by a falling piece of the ship and fell unconscious. By luck, her body miraculously stayed on small wooden boards, and was now floating away to unknown shores...

story is half-assed. I'm sorry. I'm kinda not used to write in English, since i started art school. in fact, i haven't written for a while. I'm a bit rusty, i guess.
but i wanted to do it anyway, coz' this pic needed context.
so hum... yeah, that's a part of Morning Melody's story, when she was travelling with her pegasus friend Globe Trotter (waaay before her arrival in Ponyville).
